2008 Lexus GX470 or 2008 Mercedes Benz GL450?

Hi all, my mother in 2005 GX470 lease will expire in April this year. He was allowed 36,000 miles during his term, and currently has 40,000 miles on the vehicle. The bank (U.S. Bank) charges of 18 cents per additional mile. However, Lexus has agreed buying the vehicle from the bench, giving 15K miles a year, for a moment 36. term, and put in a '08 GX470 with a similar price. The GL450 car seems to be a pretty solid from what I've seen and is quite spacious. I it is fair to say that MB has improved reliability. It is also newer than the GX and has some features that are more advanced. I consider the GL be a competitor against the LX. But in my opinion, the price of the Lexus is quite attractive, and I went with the GX.
